The only pen in the range that arrives with its floor. A cotton mat comes in the box and straps to the base with crossed velcro, which is the detail that matters: a loose mat inside a pen rides into a corner within a day and becomes a fold. The mat goes in the washing machine, which no foam mat does.

Everything above the floor is the square pen: 47 by 47 inches, mesh on all four sides, pull handles inside and a storage bag with it. Take this version if the room has boards or tile in it and you have not already bought a mat. If you have, the pen without one costs thirteen dollars less and sits on what you own.

What is in a UANLAUO box

No tools. The panels go together, the corners lock, and the suction cups underneath hold it against a smooth floor.

A mat is padding and a pen is a boundary. Neither is a sleep space: the federal definition of a play yard is a framed enclosure that includes a floor, and the enclosures here have no floor of their own. The Consumer Product Safety Commission asks parents to use products intended for sleep - a crib, a bassinet, a play yard or a bedside sleeper that meets federal requirements - and to move a baby to one of those if they fall asleep somewhere else. Neither a mat nor a pen replaces an adult in the room, and nothing on this site should be read as saying otherwise.
