What UANLAUO makes, and who it is for
Everything in this catalog exists to make one floor warmer, softer and easier to wipe than the one underneath it. The card gives you the footprint, the thickness and what is in the box before it gives you anything else, because those are the three things a photograph of a room cannot settle.
UANLAUO makes the soft floor. Not the nursery furniture and not the toys: the sheet of foam a baby is put down on at eight weeks and is still crawling across at fourteen months, and the fabric edge you put round it the week they start pulling up on the coffee table.
What is in the range
Five mat designs, each printed on both faces, each four tenths of an inch of closed-cell XPE foam, and each folding along printed creases to about a third of its open size. Three footprints between them: 59 by 59 inches for a corner, 71 by 59 and 79 by 71 for a room end. The design you pick decides what the room looks like for the next two years, so the animals get as much space on these pages as the inches do.
Then the pens. Fabric panels over tube with breathable mesh running the full height of all four sides, a zip gate that opens from the outside, pull-up rings for the weeks of standing practice, and pockets on the outer face for the things that otherwise end up on the floor. Two footprints, 47 by 47 and 71 by 47, and one of them arrives with a washable mat that straps to the base.
And one chair, because the household that needed a mat in the spring needs somewhere to put a person who now eats solids. It is a four-mode frame rather than four pieces of furniture: high chair, low feeding chair, toddler chair, stool.
Who it is for
A family in an apartment or a house with one room where everything happens. That room has a hard floor or a rug you would rather not feed a baby on, a sofa, a coffee table, and about forty square feet you can clear if you have to. The mat has to fit that space, fold away when somebody visits, and survive whatever leaves a cup.
That room shapes the range more than any style does. A mat has to clear an interior door, so every design is four tenths of an inch and not a hair more. A mat has to survive a dropped cup, so the top is a sealed skin rather than a fabric. And a pen has to be seen through from the kitchen, so the mesh runs the full height of all four sides instead of stopping at a solid rail.
What UANLAUO is not
Not a furniture maker. There is no cot, no changing table and no toy on these shelves, and the one chair is here because it folds down into the same year as the mat: it starts at the table and ends as a stool. Not a maker of play yards either, in the sense the federal rule gives that word. A play yard has a floor of its own and is built to be slept in. The UANLAUO pens have no floor and are for the fifteen minutes it takes to make lunch, with you in the room, which is why one of them is sold with a mat to stand on and the other two are not.
2018 is the year the first folding mat went out, and the range has been the soft floor and the edge around it ever since. What each piece measures, what it is made of and what is in its box is on its card, and how the figures on those cards are kept current is set out on how we update the catalog.

About the brand
What people ask about UANLAUO
What does UANLAUO make?
Foldable foam play mats for the floor a baby rolls, crawls and stands up on. Soft-sided playpens with mesh on four sides and a zip gate. And a high chair that converts into a low chair, a toddler chair and a stool. Five mat designs, three pen footprints, one chair.
How long has UANLAUO been around?
Since 2018, which is 8 years of making the same kind of thing: a mat you fold rather than roll, printed on both sides, thin enough to live under a door and thick enough to matter under a knee.
Are UANLAUO playpens the same as a play yard?
No, and the difference is worth knowing. The Consumer Product Safety Commission defines a play yard as a framed enclosure that includes a floor and treats it as a place a baby may sleep. These pens have no floor of their own, so they are neither, and nothing on this site claims otherwise.
Where is UANLAUO sold?
Through our retail partner, which is where every buying button on this site leads. Payment, delivery, warranty and returns all happen there rather than here.
