UANLAUO large play mat
The big sheets: 79 by 71 inches is thirty-nine square feet, and 71 by 59 is twenty-nine. Both are the answer to a hard floor, a second child, or a crawler who keeps arriving at the edge of the mat you have.

The step from 59 inches to 79 is bigger than the numbers suggest, because floor area goes up with both sides at once: twenty-four square feet becomes thirty-nine. In a room that is the difference between a mat you keep dragging back into position and a mat that reaches the sofa on one side and the wall on the other, which is to say a mat nobody has to think about.
Take it when the floor underneath is the problem rather than the child. Tile and laminate are cold and hard, and four tenths of an inch of closed-cell foam over a bigger area does more for a room than the same foam over a smaller one. The trade is bulk: the large sheet folds to about a third of its open size like the rest, but a third of 79 inches still wants a closet rather than a gap behind a door.

Questions parents ask
What families ask about UANLAUO large play mat
How much more floor do you get from the UANLAUO 79x71 mat?
Thirty-nine square feet against twenty-four, so about two thirds more floor. Both sides grow at once, so the difference feels larger in a room than the two numbers suggest on paper.
Will the large UANLAUO mat fold small enough for your closet?
It folds along the same printed creases to roughly a third of its open size. That is a manageable slab rather than a small parcel: plan on a closet or the space beside a wardrobe rather than the gap behind a door.
Is a large UANLAUO mat worth it if you have one baby?
If the floor is tile or laminate, yes, because the cold hard surface is the thing you are covering. If the floor is already carpet and there is one child on it, the corner size does the same job for less money and less bulk.
A mat is padding and a pen is a boundary. Neither is a sleep space: the federal definition of a play yard is a framed enclosure that includes a floor, and the enclosures here have no floor of their own. The Consumer Product Safety Commission asks parents to use products intended for sleep - a crib, a bassinet, a play yard or a bedside sleeper that meets federal requirements - and to move a baby to one of those if they fall asleep somewhere else. Neither a mat nor a pen replaces an adult in the room, and nothing on this site should be read as saying otherwise.
